The breaker trips. The outlet's dead. We come out and fix it.

AMP Services takes the service calls — the small jobs most contractors won't put on a schedule. A real diagnosis, a price before any work starts, and in most cases it's done the same visit.

Don't wait on this

An outlet that sparked, a burning smell near a switch, a scorched cover plate, or a breaker that's warm to the touch — call us the same day. Those are the ones that turn into something worse.

Service calls

What people actually call us for

These are the calls we take in the Indianapolis area — most of them jobs we ran in the last few weeks. The spec above each one is what's really behind it.

15A / 20A branch circuit

A breaker that keeps tripping

We trace the circuit and find what's actually pulling it down, instead of swapping the breaker and hoping.

GFCI · downstream

Outlets with no power

Often a tripped GFCI feeding half a room from somewhere you'd never look. Often — not always. We find out which.

100A / 200A service

Panel repair and inspection

Loose lugs, double-tapped breakers, corrosion, a panel that was never labeled. We open it and tell you what's there.

240V dedicated circuit

Range and 240V appliance circuits

New dedicated runs from the panel for a range, dryer, or hot tub — sized to the appliance and the distance, not to whatever wire was on the truck.

Fan-rated box · 70 lb

Ceiling fans and heavy fixtures

A chandelier needs a box rated to hold it. Most old boxes aren't. We replace the box, then hang it.

70 – 110 CFM

Bathroom exhaust fans

Replacements and new installs, vented to the outside — which is where about half of them turn out not to go.

NM-B cable run

New outlets, moved outlets

Adding one where you need it, raising one above a counter, or replacing every tired receptacle in the house.

GFCI · weather-resistant

Outdoor and garage power

Exterior receptacles, garage circuits, and the backyard outlet that stopped working and has no reset button in sight.

3-way · dimmer

Switches, lights and fixtures

Fixture swaps, dimmers that hum or flicker, porch lights that won't come on, three-way switches wired wrong years ago.

16 – 24 V transformer

Doorbells and low voltage

Wired and video doorbells, chimes that stopped, and the transformer nobody can find. Usually in the closet.

How it works

What a service call looks like

No trip fee games, no quote that arrives three days later by email.

1

You call and tell us what's happening

What stopped working, when it started, and whether anything changed in the house right before. That's usually enough to know what we're walking into.

2

We come out and diagnose it

Troubleshooting is the job, not a guess we bill you for. We find the actual fault before anyone talks about replacing anything.

3

You get the price before work starts

You approve it, then we fix it — most service calls in the same visit. Bigger jobs get a written estimate with the work broken out line by line.

Service area

Indianapolis and the surrounding metro

We work out of Westfield and cover the north side, the west side, and central Indianapolis. Just outside this list? Call anyway — if we're already working near you that week, we'll usually make it work.
