What's really going on

Fans and lighting

Most existing ceiling boxes are rated for a light, not for a fan that moves. Hanging a fan or a heavy chandelier on the wrong box is the single most common thing we come back to fix for someone else.

  • Ceiling fans, including replacing the box with a fan-rated one
  • Chandeliers and heavy fixtures, up to and past 50 pounds
  • Recessed and canless LED retrofits
  • Bathroom exhaust fans, vented outside rather than into the attic
  • Exterior and landscape lighting with transformers

You supply the fixture, we supply everything behind it. If the box has to be replaced we tell you before we start, not after the old one is already down.
